LJ Hooker Nerang has taken out 3 categories at last week’s REB Awards. The event recognises Australia’s top performing real estate professionals and networks, including agents, property managers, innovators and leaders who have displayed excellence in the industry.
This year’s REB Awards was a hybrid event; the awards ceremony was hosted at Sydney’s The Star and simultaneously broadcast around Australia.
The REB Awards, now in its ninth year, celebrates excellence within the Australian real estate industry, and recognises leading professionals and businesses across their respective fields.
The night provided a record haul for the Nerang team, taking out 3 categories:
Principal of the Year – Regional (Shane Colquhoun/Nerang)
Operations Manager of the Year (Emily-Jane Megraw)
Sales Office of the Year (Nerang).
The LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast group were also named as finalist for Social and Community Service Program of the Year, and LJ Hooker Nerang had been placed in REB’s Top 50 Sales Offices just a few days earlier.
Shane Colquhoun, Principal of LJ Hooker Nerang and Director of LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast, said he was absolutely thrilled with the results.
“2020 saw so many challenges for our teams, both personally and professionally, and I am so proud that each and every member of staff stepped up to the plate and faced it head on.
“I am looking forward to further promoting the LJH Solutions Gold Coast brand which was launched on January 1st. There are a lot of things in the works which forms an exciting year ahead.”
It was the second time that Shane had been named as Principal of the Year (previously in 2017), and his office at Nerang winning Sales Office of the Year – Regional (2018).
Emily-Jane Megraw also took home Office Administrator of the Year in 2019.
“To be recognised for the second time is amazing” said Emily-Jane.
“I live and breathe this industry and to be rated among the best of the best is an honour for me.”
“2020 was not an easy year, but time and time again, I’ve been blown away by the determination, ingenuity, motivation and professionalism shown by so many. It’s a credit to all of tonight’s finalists that they have gone above and beyond in a time of such uncertainty,” said REB news editor Grace Ormsby in her opening speech.
“With a new normal ahead of us, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to recognise the property professionals, teams and businesses doing wonderful things for both the real estate industry and their respective communities.”
