United agencies amongst the winners’ circle
LJ Hooker’s sister agencies at Nerang, Pacific Pines and Coomera were celebrated by industry and their peers last month, adding a swag of trophies to their mantelpieces in the process.
At the industry’s pre-eminent industry awards hosted by the Real Estate Business journal, LJ Hooker Nerang was named the Top Regional Sales office of the Year. The award is open to entrants outside Australia’s metropolitan markets.
The following night, LJ Hooker Nerang was again amidst the winners, this time at LJ Hooker’s annual Queensland and Northern Territory awards.
Heading the accolades was LJ Hooker Principal Shane Colquhoun, who was recognised as LJ Hooker’s Franchise Owner of the Year.
It was a highly successful night for LJ Hooker Nerang, which also won the network’s:
- Digital Presence of the Year;
- Best Customer Experience;
- Second Runner-Up Top Office.
LJ Hooker Pacific Pines was also amongst the honours, claiming the network’s Top Community Relationship Award for its support and engagement of local groups and charities.
Indeed, the Gold Coast was well-represented on the winners’ stage. The market’s enthusiasm for the city was illustrated in the median house price rising six per cent in the 12 months to June, according to the Real Estate Institute of Queensland, positioning it as the state’s growth leader during LJ Hooker’s awards period.
LJ Hooker Network Chief Graeme Hyde paid credit to Mr Colquhoun, saying: “Shane is an inspiring leader to his staff, the wider LJ Hooker network, and a proactive member of his local community.
“Prior to the Commonwealth Games, when interest in the local market began to gather pace, Shane took a leading role in how our brand serviced the increased volume of enquiries from both buyers and sellers.
“The Games showcased the Gold Coast’s distinctive character and the market’s renewed interest in the city will continue in its wake.
“True specialists like Shane give customers confidence that they’re receiving the very best advice on their property journeys.”
